My iPhone. Insert Top: With my bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Insert Bottom: Extended battery sleeve.

Friday, 22 January 2010
I've had my iPhone 3GS for a few months now and with it jailbroken (hacked), making it the next best thing since sliced bread.
The Apple corperation thinks that the screen keyboard is the only keyboard you need. But I don't think I'd want to write an update with my big fingers touching two keys and the same on the screen, not even I would understand what I had writen, let alone you!
Even this update is being writen on the iPhone with the help of my Bluetooth mouse and Bluetooth keyboard. Unfortunately, you can only use these items if your iPhone is jailbroken. What I have on this phone in the way applications makes this a computer first and then something to make a phone call on!
The apps that are availible, not only from apple, but also from the 'underworld' are endless. One of the apps that I have on my iPhone is a navigation program called Navionics, that's amazingly accurate it is, and all for only $15.00.
From the iPhone I can FTP to my server any photo, video or voice recording from my iPhone, then go online to my webserver and post an update. Yes you read it right, from time to time I'll be having audio podcast updates, not only making it easier than typing, but also so you can hear my sweet voice! See below for a sample.
The screen shots of my iPhone were edited on my laptop, but any photo I take on the iPhone can be cropped, rotated, resized and uploaded to my website. So this makes the iPhone a good second computer if I was to have problems with my main computer.
