18 November: My life for the past few months.
I know some of you might be wondering if I was still alive or not, but to your relief I’m alive and well.

25 July: Gold Coast.
I’m back to a more normal way of life at the moment, but really, what’s a normal life anyway?

12v Power Systems.
The new battery systems are now finished and fitted into their appropriate positions in the kayak and Pelican Case.

Hel-Cam Update.
With my new PeakUK PFD in my hot little hands, I’ve been busy accessorising with my safety equipment and Hel-Cam.

Cooking Equipment – Revised.
For a very long time now I’ve always cooked my food, while on any outdoor trip, on my MSR Whisperlite, but all of that has now changed.

Pocket Shower, Wysi Wipes and Wilderness Wash.
Not every piece of equipment for this expedition is a High-Tec electronic gadget, some are very simple, but play a very important role.

Foldable Solar Panel.
The two solar panels (5 & 10 watts) that I have on the kayak are the biggest that will fit in the free space available, but they’ll only trickle charge the batteries throughout the day.

GPS
After many years of loyal service, the screen on my old Garmin GPS was beginning to fail on me, so I've bitten the bullet and brought a new one.

Tripods.
Two new items on the gear list are the Manfrotto Modo Steady and Modo Maxi Tripod, with the tripod being like most things in the kayak, replaced because of good old salt water damage to my old one!

Wine Coolers
With every expedition under my belt, some of my gear and equipment either changes or evolves as new products or ideas come up.
